Madden NFL 23 ratings revealed for Jags’ defensive players, some offensive players

With teams reporting for training camp, it won’t be long before the latest installment of Electronic Arts’ “Madden NFL” game is out. EA started revealing some positional ratings for “Madden NFL 23,” but the quarterbacks and offensive line ratings remain unknown.

That means fans in Duval can now view the defensive ratings of all of the players on the Jacksonville Jaguars roster. Leading the way for them with the highest overall rating is Josh Allen, with an overall rating of 85. That’s a figure that also gives him the highest current rating on the whole roster. Then, not too far behind him were cornerbacks Shaquill Griffin and Darious Williams, with ratings of 84 and 82, respectively.

The Jags’ defensive unit is one many are excited to see when considering the additions they made this offseason. They added players like Williams, Foley Fatukasi (80), Foyesade Oluokun (80), and Arden Key (70) in free agency, then drafted linebackers Travon Walker (76), Devin Lloyd (73), and Chad Muma (70). All of these additions should help approve their overall defensive rating and help them perform better against opposing offenses.

As for the top ratings that were revealed for the Jags’ offense, running back James Robinson currently holds the highest one with an 84. Not too far behind him are receivers Marvin Jones Jr. and Christian Kirk, who were given ratings of 82 and 81, respectively. This means the Jags will have some respectable skill weapons for players, though the overall unit will be far from one of the best.

When looking at what we know about the offense so far, something for fans to keep in mind is that guard Brandon Scherff could end up with the team’s highest overall rating. That should help players tremendously who want to establish the run with Robinson, as well as help Trevor Lawrence in pass protection.

To view all of the available ratings, fans can head to EA’s site for more. As for the game, fans can preorder it now, but the release date will be on Aug. 19.
