MINTY BETS: On Saturday, October 17, here in my hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada, we've got a lightweight title unification fight between two time gold medalist Vasiliy Lomachenko, minus 400 favorite, vs Teofimo Lopez, a plus 275 [INAUDIBLE]. This should be exciting. Kevin, who do you like for this fight?
KEVIN IOLE: Boy, I'll tell you what, Minty, this is going to be a great fight. A fight that a couple of years ago we didn't think we were going to be talking about. But Teofimo Lopez's dad, Teofimo Sr., went up to Vasiliy Lomachenko in New, York got right in his face, when his son only had five fights and said, my son is going to be the one to defeat you. Really talked trash to him.
And he's been talking about fighting him ever since. So now the son's going to have to live up to his dad's bold words. And I think this comes down to the boxing skill and experience of Vasiliy Lomachenko versus the punching power and the sheer physical size of a Teofimo Lopez. Lopez, he's kind of like Mike Tyson of a lighter weight.
Because when he hits you, you know, you saw against Richard Commey. Commey went down, got up and went back down again. I mean, he is a devastating puncher. But you have to hit Vasiliy Lomachenko to knock him down. And he is such a tough guy to hit.
I could see Lopez winning this fight. And if he wins it, I think size is going to be where he imposes his physical size on Vasiliy. But I like Vasiliy Lomachenko to win this fight by decision. I think he's going to out box Teofimo and Teofimo won't see where some of the punches are coming from. So I like Vasiliy Lomachenko by decision in this unification bout.
