Lucero, Spikula, McNay earn MSC esports Player of the Week honors
Mar. 9—Cumberland esports claimed three Mid-South Conference Players of the Week as Braiden McKay earned Overwatch Player of the Week, David Lucero is the Valorant Player of the Week and Mark Spikula garnered Rocket League Player of the Week.
In Overwatch against the Cumberlands, McNay had 102 eliminations in a 3-0 wins. He had just 24 deaths while recording 27 assists while dealing 42,600 damage. He earned weekly honors for the first time this season and in his career.
Lucero totaled 30 eliminations in a 2-0 win over Cumberlands for the MSC championship. He had 12 assists and 25 deaths to lead Cumberland to the title. Lucero earned weekly honors for the first time this season and in his career.
In Rocket league, Spikula scored nine goals in 17 shots in the Phoenix's sweep of Bethel. He added four assists and four saves. Spikula earned weekly honors for the first time in his career.
The Phoenix have 11 Mid-South Conference Players of the Week honors this season.
