LSU baseball live score updates vs South Carolina from SEC Baseball Tournament

Jay Johnson has said before that seven runs should be enough for his LSU baseball team to win against any team it plays.

Thursday's third round game in the 2024 SEC Baseball Tournament against South Carolina had the Tigers testing that theory as they trailed 10-7 going into the eighth inning. But LSU (39-20) scored two runs in each of the final two frames while holding the Gamecocks scoreless to the rest of the way to rally for the 11-10 victory and move on to the semifinals.

The No. 11 Tigers will play No. 10 South Carolina on Saturday in the semis at the Hoover Metropolitan in Hoover, Alabama (Noon CT, SEC Network). Winner of that game goes on to play for the SEC Tournament championship on Sunday.

LSU has scored at least nine runs in each of its three games in Hoover and have won all three games.
