Louisville's Hayden Nigro, Tom Siegfried headline 2023-24 All-Stark County boys basketball

For the third straight season, the Repository Stark County Boys Basketball Player of the Year resides in Louisville.

Leopards senior Hayden Nigro is the 2023-24 county player of the year, earning the award after former teammate Will Aljancic won it the previous two seasons. Nigro, who was an Ohio Mr. Basketball finalist, added player of the year awards from the Northeast Inland District and the District 4 coaches association to go with his county award.

Tom Siegfried made it a clean sweep of the top awards for Louisville, earning Stark County Coach of the Year. The Leopards went 23-3 this season, were ranked eighth in the final Associated Press Division I state poll and finished as district runners-up. The 23 wins tied a single-season program record.

  • Area's leading scorer for a second straight season, averaging 24.5 points after 23.2 last year. Averaged 35.3 points in late-season four-game stretch. Three-time all-county first team.

  • Electric player with non-stop motor who shot 50.4 percent from floor, 37.4 percent from 3-point range and 83.3 percent from foul line.

  • Lake's all-time leading scorer with 1,301 points. Owns single-game school record of 45 points.

  • Dynamic big man who can dominate around the rim and help break pressure (often with highlight reel finishes).

  • Averaged 16.1 points and 9.1 rebounds while adding 2.4 assists per game.

  • Shot a county-best 64.3 percent from the floor for 23-3 Leopards.
