Mar. 28—HIGH POINT — Truist Point will host a professional rugby match this spring.

NOLA Gold and Charlotte-based Anthem RC will meet on Saturday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m. at the downtown ballpark. The Major League Rugby match will be televised on The Rugby Network.

"Sports fans will have the opportunity to see rugby at the highest level in the United States and players that will be competing on the world stage."

Tickets for the match go on sale on Thursday, March 28, and can be purchased online at www.HighPointRockers.com and at Truist Point. Early bird tickets are priced as low as $14.

MLR began play in 2018 and has grown to 12 teams across the country. Anthem RC is a first-year team funded by USA Rugby and World Rugby with an eye toward raising the national team's competitiveness in Rugby World Cup in 2027 and 2031 (which the U.S. will host). NOLA Gold is in its seventh season.
