LOCAL ROUNDUP: Carolina Core FC adds another player

Dec. 28—HIGH POINT — Carolina Core FC has added another player that head coach Roy Lassiter helped guide last year in the Houton Dynamo organization.

The new signee is Angel Aguas, a 20-year-old defender from Houston. Aguas was promoted last season from Dynamo's Academy team to its U-20 squad that Lassiter coached.

"Angel is a very smart and technical defender who reads the game at a high level," Lassiter said. "I have seen his development over the past few years and believe he will progress well in the MLS NEXT Pro league. We await his contribution and continued growth and have confidence in what he will bring to Carolina Core FC in 2024."
