UND 7, Youngstown State 0, 7:42 left: UND capitalizes on a short field to score on its opening drive. Tyler Hoosman 2-yard TD run finishes off a drive set up by a 26-yard pass from Tommy Schuster to Garett Maag.
UND 7, Youngstown State 3, 4:12 left: Colt McFadden connects on 47-yard field goal. Max Tomczak 30-yard catch put the Penguins in scoring position.
UND 14, Youngstown State 3, 2:35 left: Isaiah Smith 32-yard screen pass from Tommy Schuster finishes off a quick scoring drive. The drive was propelled by Schuster escaping the grasp of a defender and hitting Bo Belquist for 37 yards, which got the Hawks out of a tough illegal blocking penalty early in the drive.
UND 14, Youngstown State 6, 14:02 left: The Penguins use a second nice kick return to get in to field-goal position. McFadden drills one from 38 yards out.
UND 14, Youngstown State 14, 5:54 left: Youngstown State ties the score on a 26-yard touchdown pass from Davidson to Max Tomczak, followed by a 2-point conversion pass from Davidson to Bryce Oliver.
UND 21, YSU 14, 2:11 left: On third-and-inches, UND brings in Quincy Vaughn, who charges from the shotgun to up under center. He fakes a reverse to Garett Maag and pitches outside to Isaiah Smith, who is untouched into the end zone from 16 yards out.
UND 21, Youngstown State 21, :06 left: The Penguins scored a touchdown before the end of the first half when Mitch Davidson throws a lob to Bryce Oliver for an 11-yard score.
Youngstown State 24, UND 21, 8:08 left: McFadden connects from 32 yards out after McLaughlin has big gainers to get the Penguins in scoring position.
UND 28, Youngstown State 24, 9:39 left: Tyler Hoosman with a physical 13-yard touchdown run. The score came one play after Isaiah Smith drew a defensive pass interference call. Earlier in the drive, UND was able to escape a third-and-15 hole with a big pass to Garett Maag.
