Leonard Fournette inactive for Week 2 against Patriots
The “will he or won’t he?” over Leonard Fournette’s playing status for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday has been decided.
The Jags announced shortly before kickoff that their star running back will be inactive for Week 2 when they face the New England Patriots at home.
Fournette, who is dealing with a hamstring issue, did not practice this week after injuring his right leg in Week 1 against the New York Giants. T.J. Yeldon will get the start in his place.
Jacksonville was able to pull off a 20-15 victory against New York last week after Fournette went down, but stand to face a much tougher defense against New England.
Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette will NOT play in today’s game, per source. T.J. Yeldon and Corey Grant will get the workload for the Jaguars’ running game.

The rematch of the 2018 AFC Championship game has been much anticipated for both teams after the Jaguars came within four points and a questionable call of advancing to the Super Bowl.
