League of Legends offseason roster update: Week of 12/5
The professional League of Legends offseason is always a baffling time, and 2016 is no different. We’ve got players flying left and right, from roster to roster and region to region. It’s dizzying.
That’s where we come in. Every week, we’ve been collecting all the roster swap information you need to know.
These are the confirmed roster swaps for the week of December 5, 2016.
North America
The Team SoloMid roster is complete once again, with Jason “WildTurtle” Tran returning to his rightful role as AD carry for the team.
Speaking of ADCs, Cody Sun has been confirmed in the role for Immortals. Joining him will be talented jungler Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett and veteran mid laner Eugene “Pobelter” Park.
The entire Phoenix1 roster has been unveiled, with Derek “zig” Shao in the top lane, Rami “Inori” Charagh in the jungle, Yoo “Ryu” Sang-ook in mid, No “Arrow” Dong-hyeon as AD carry, Adrian “Adrian” Ma as support, and Kim “Fly” Sang-chul as the head coach.
Team Liquid has confirmed the signings of top laner Samson “Lourlo” Jackson, mid laner Greyson “Goldenglue” Glimer, and support Matt “Matt” Elento.
Europe
Giants Gaming picked up a new rookie AD carry in Elias “Upset” Lipp to replace Son “S0NSTAR” Seung-ik. He’ll be playing bot lane with support Morgan “Hustlin” Granberg.
Former Unicorns of Love and Origen mid laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage has signed with new EU LCS squad Misfits.
Korea
KT Rolster has rounded out their super team by signing the best support in the world in Cho “Mata” Se-hyeong, making them one of the most terrifying teams ever assembled.
Mid laner Lee “Kuro” Seo-haeng and AD carry Ha “Kramer” Jong-hu have joined Afreeca Freecs to try and help out the struggling organization.
AD carry Kim “PraY” Jong-in and Kang “GorillA” Beom-hyeon, despite rumors about TSM, have in fact joined Longzhu Gaming where they will be playing with top laner Gu “Expession” Bon-taek, who re-signed with the team.
China
2015 World Champion top laner Jang “MaRin” Gyeong-Hwan is officially off of LGD Gaming, leaving the spot open.
