League champs: Vote for the Storm Works Roofing High School Girls Athlete of the Week

Marshfield's Eleanor Angeles-Whitfield has been voted the Storm Works Roofing High School Girls Athlete of the Week.

The cross country runner collected over 30,000 votes (45.6%) to earn the honor. She helped the Rams collect their fourth consecutive Patriot League Keenan Division title by taking first in 18:33 in a league-title clinching victory over Hingham.

And this week's candidates are...

SOCCER

Isabella McDonough, Sr., Cardinal Spellman: McDonough had a big week for the Cardinals. She scored two goals in a 4-0 win over Bishop Fenwick. In a pair of games against Archbishop Williams, McDonough tallied four points. She scored the tying goal in a 2-2 tie and tallied three assists in a 4-1 win.

Elly Thomas + Sarah Duran, Hull: In an 8-3 win over Mashpee, Thomas had a hat trick plus an assist while Duran had four points (2 goals, 2 assists). In a 9-2 win over South Shore Tech, Duran had a hat trick while Thomas had three points (goal, 2 assists). Thomas also tallied a hat trick in a 4-4 tie with Cohasset.

Matti Driscoll, Cohasset: Driscoll score a late tying goal on a bicycle kick as the Skippers salvaged a 4-4 tie with Hull.

Allyson Kelley, Fr., Norwell: Kelley scored a hat trick in a 5-0 win over Sandwich.

Kathleen Murphy, Jr., Blue Hills: Murphy scored a hat trick in a 4-1 win over Bristol-Plymouth.

Nicole Tedstone, Jr., Hopkinton: Tedstone scored twice as the undefeated Hillers defeated Ashland, 7-0.

Anya Zub, Sr., Franklin: Zub scored a goal (her 18th of the fall) and notched an assist (her 7th) as the Panthers blanked North Attleborough, 2-0.

FIELD HOCKEY

Shannon Lane + Maggie McCready, Canton: Both girls had hat tricks in a win over Sharon.

Maddy Butler, Sr., Carver: Butler scored five goals in a 6-2 win over Mashpee.

Haylen Wilson, Jr., Hingham: Wilson scored a hat trick in a win over Plymouth South. That victory clinched the Harborwomen's third consecutive league title.

Kathryn Freeman, Soph., Braintree: Freeman scored a hat trick in a 10-0 win over Weymouth.

Natalie Boyer, Fr., Natick: Boyer made nine saves as the Redhawks played Newton North to a 0-0 tie.

Emily Carney + Haley Wernig, Jrs., Franklin: Carney scored three goals and had two assists as the Panthers stayed unbeaten with an 8-0 win over Taunton. Earlier in the week, Wernig scored two goals with an assist in a 3-0 win over King Philip.

Camille Perlov, Sr., Hopkinton: The captain scored her 50th career high school goal as the Hillers improved to 11-3-2 in the lead-up to tournament play.

CROSS COUNTRY

Gracie Richard + Izzy Galusha, Weymouth: Richard and Galusha finished 1-2, in order, in a win over Walpole. That win clinched the league title for the Wildcats.

Audrey Weishaar, Jr., Tri-County: Weishaar won the 5K race in 23:48, her third first-place finish in four conference races, as the Cougars defeated Bristol Plymouth, 17-46.

VOLLEYBALL

Clare Kavolius, Jr., Oliver Ames: Kavolius tallied 44 assists, including No. 1,000 in her career, in a 3-2 win over Mansfield.

Liv Flaherty, Sr., Notre Dame Academy: Flaherty had 21 kills and 6 aces in a 3-1 win over Marblehead.

Grace Chiota, Jr., Algonquin: Chiota (14 kills, 7 digs, 2 blocks) helped guide the Titans (14-3) past visiting Nipmuc, handing the Warriors their first loss of the fall, 3-0 (25-20, 26-24, 25-14).

Ali Elster, Sr., + Mia Milani + Sophia Soto, Fr., Bellingham: Elster had 13 assists and two aces on 21 serves, Milani had seven kills, five digs and three aces  on 17 serves and Soto had 12 digs, four assists and an ace as the Blackhawks (15-3) blanked Hopedale, 3-0 (25-17, 26-24, 25-10). Elster also had 14 assists, four aces and three digs and Milani had 10 kills, three aces and three digs in a 3-0 win over Millis.

Bella Rand, Sr., AMSA: Rand had 10 kills and six digs as the Eagles swept Worcester Tech, 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-15).

Dana Schechter + Kate Julian, Srs., Nipmuc: Schechter had 14 kills, 12 digs and three aces and Julian had 25 assists, six kills, 10 digs and two aces as the Warriors swept Millbury, 3-0.

Emma Shum, Sr., + Nadia Shloul, Soph., Blackstone Valley Tech: Shum had five aces and 10 kills and Shloul collected 13 kills, two aces and a block as the Beavers defeated Tri-County, 3-1.

Quinn Anderson + Addyson Moore, Srs., + Georgia Tyrell, Jr., Westborough: Anderson had 26 kills, two aces and 12 digs and Moore had 17 digs and four aces in a 3-1 win over Hudson (20-25, 25-17, 25-11, 25-13). Tyrell had 12 kills in the Rangers’ 3-0 (25-12, 25-10, 25-9) sweep of Melrose.
