Latest Kentucky high school football media poll sees few changes among NKY teams
The fourth Kentucky high school football media poll of the season has arrived.
The only Northern Kentucky teams to change spots were Lloyd and Ryle, who both moved up a spot. Lloyd dismantled Newport in a 45-8 win while Ryle had the week off.
In Class 5A, neither Highlands nor Cooper moved after a 58-51 offensive showcase won by the Bluebirds. Both teams showcased their potential, but the rest of the teams in the top-five won handily, leading to the stagnancy in the standings.
In the rest of the state, there was mass confusion in Class 6A as Trinity beat previous No. 1 St. Xavier. DuPont Manual fell to Christian Academy-Louisville while Frederick Douglass suffered their second straight loss, to Indianapolis-based Cathedral.
The poll is a result of the votes of 24 media members from various outlets throughout Kentucky. The votes are compiled by Jason Frakes of the Louisville Courier-Journal.
