Las Vegas Raiders at Chicago Bears: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 7 game

The Chicago Bears (1-5) seek to rebound at home against the Las Vegas Raiders (3-3) in a Week 7 game at Soldier Field as both teams have questions at quarterback.

Justin Fields dislocated his thumb last week in a 19-13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. There is no timetable for his return. Rookie Tyson Bagent was 10-of-14 for 83 yards and an interception filling in at quarterback. He also lost a fumble.

The Raiders defense held the New England Patriots to 259 yards and got three sacks in a 21-17 victory. Jimmy Garoppolo was taken to the hospital in the first half with a back injury. Coach Josh McDaniels said that the quarterback is okay, but his status against the Bears is unknown. If he doesn't go, journeyman Brian Hoyer would fill in.

Lorenzo Reyes: Raiders 18, Bears 14

To be honest, I don’t love either of these teams and wouldn’t back either with regularity. This is more about picking the lesser of two evils, as Vegas is 3-3 against the spread, while the Bears have covered only once.

Tyler Dragon: Raiders 15, Bears 13

Bears QB Justin Fields is unlikely to play due to a right thumb injury. Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo’s status is uncertain after suffering a back injury in Week 6. The Raiders are quietly 3-3 this season. Raiders DE Maxx Crosby is playing like a defensive player of the year candidate. Expect a low-scoring game regardless of who lines up under center.

Victoria Hernandez: Raiders 20, Bears 15

Not that the Bears were exactly great with Justin Fields, but if he’s out and rookie Tyson Bagent gets the start, Chicago will struggle against a surging Las Vegas defense. The Raiders have a question mark at quarterback of their own with Jimmy Garoppolo’s back injury, but they have more leadership and momentum than the home team.

Jordan Mendoza: Raiders 17, Bears 12

Both teams could be without their starting quarterbacks, which spells an offensive nightmare for teams that already have been mediocre this season. But the Bears are far worse, so Las Vegas gets the win in a low-scoring affair.

Safid Deen: Raiders 24, Bears 13

The Raiders aren’t great, but they’ll be good enough to beat the lowly Bears, who have bigger issues with Justin Fields’ dislocated thumb and a rookie quarterback as their backup.
