Lakers' LeBron James returns to lineup after missing eight games with abdominal strain

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was back on the floor Friday night, returning to the lineup after missing eight games with an abdominal strain.

James warmed up and took shots at TD Garden in the hours before the Lakers tipped off against the Boston Celtics. The team announced James was good to go about 45 minutes before game time.

James had not played since Nov. 2. Los Angeles entered Friday's game with an 8-8 record after going 3-5 while he was injured. James has missed 10 total games so far this season, with the Lakers going 4-6 in those contests.

In the six games he's played, James is averaging 24.8 points, 7.0 assists and 5.5 rebounds on 46.7% shooting.
