CHRISTOPHER CRAWFORD: There's right around a month left in the season, and it is time to start aggressively attacking categories that you're not performing well in. If one of those categories is homers, a player to take a look at his Kyle Seager. Seager has homered 31 times in 2021, so he's been a source of pop all year. But he's been particularly relevant in the long ball category as of late, as he's hit five homers in his last 12 games while attempting to keep Seattle in playoff contention.

The 33-year-old is ranked among the lead leaders in expected slugging, barrel percentage, and maximum exit velocity. so you shouldn't expect an 80 homer pace like he's had the last two weeks, but there's reason to believe that Seager will continue to provide the round trippers. Just keep in mind, however, that these homers will come with no help in stolen bases or even batting average, as he's hitting just 216 and is very unlikely to add to three seal he has on this season. But if you could take the hit in those categories, you could be rewarded with a player that can significantly help you in the power category in Kyle Seager.
