This winter the Kitsap Sun will continue to host a weekly poll for readers to vote for athletes of the week, drawn from athletes in basketball, wrestling, swimming, bowling and, for the first time, girls flag football. Athletes will be nominated by their high school coaches and the top male and female vote-getters will take home the awards.

We'll announce the winners each week, after the polls close each Wednesday at 5 p.m. Winners will also be announced in the Friday print edition of the Sun.
