Kings will beat Warriors in seven games, viral 40-win fans predict

Viral 40-win prophetic fans make bold Kings-Dubs prediction originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

After predicting before the start of the 2022-23 NBA season that the Kings would win 40 games , Sean Chew shared a new prophecy for Sacramento's playoff hopes.

Speaking to Bleacher Report after Sacramento's tight 126-123 win in Game 1 over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday at Golden 1 Center, the lifelong Kings fan believes the NorCal series will go the distance.

"We took Game 1, you know what? That's a big game right there," Chew exclaimed. "Kings in seven, we got the 40 wins. We clinched the playoffs.

"All respect to the Warriors, but guess what? Kings in seven."

For Chew to think that the series will go the full seven games makes sense.

De'Aaron Fox (38 points) and Malik Monk (32 points off the bench) had to have near-perfect games -- which brought Kings fans and NBA Twitter to a frenzy -- in order for Sacramento to beat the defending champions.

Both Fox and Monk shared their thoughts on playing the playoff version of the Warriors, with the former candidly explaining how difficult it is to defend Steph Curry and the latter claiming it "wasn't easy" beating Golden State.

If Game 1 is any indication, the rest of the series between the two Northern California rivals should be a treat for basketball fans, regardless of affiliation.

And if Chew is to be believed, there will be six more games of entertaining basketball left to be played.
