Kevin Durant reflects on time with OKC Thunder: 'It was special what we did'

Kevin Durant opened up about his time with the OKC Thunder in a recent discussion on Boardroom, a media network founded by Durant and his agent, Rich Kleiman.

Durant was positive about OKC and the franchise as he spoke with Kleiman, reflecting on the sense of pride he has when he thinks about those days.

“It was special what we did, regardless of championships or not," Durant said.

Durant had just one NBA season under his belt before arriving in OKC and leading the Thunder in its first year.

He went on to thrive, as did the Thunder.

"We really started that organization off," he said. "That's a testament to everybody there cause they built that family. We all did.”

Durant is averaging 28.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.3 blocks per game with the Phoenix Suns this season.

The Suns are seventh in the Western Conference standings.
