Kentucky basketball alumni scheduled to play in TBT. Rupp Arena will host regional games

Kentucky Wildcats basketball alumni will enter a team in The Basketball Tournament (TBT) for the first time later this year.

TBT features 64 teams from across eight regions that will compete for the winner-take-all $1 million prize.

UK will host regional games July 19-24 at Rupp Arena.

The Wildcats team name is "LaFamiliaTBT," and the first alum to announce his participation in the tournament was Eric Bledsoe.

Bledsoe played one season for UK, 2009-2010, and averaged 11.3 points per game.

The Oklahoma City Thunder drafted Bledsoe in the first round of the 2010 NBA Draft with the No. 18 pick, but he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Bledsoe played 12 seasons in the NBA with four teams.

He plays for the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association.
