Kemba Walker scores 30 as Bobcats beat Magic

Kemba Walker put up 30 points to help the Charlotte Bobcats take down the Orlando Magic, 98-90. Charlotte (11-24) gets one in the win column after losing to Cleveland on Friday.

Walker went 10-21 (4-8 from three-point range) and 6-7 from the free throw line. Charlotte also got solid performances from Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with 17 points and 12 rebounds, and Cody Zeller with 12 points and seven rebounds. Despite the loss, Victor Oladipo scored 21 points for Orlando on 6-14 shooting (1-4 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 8-8 from the free throw line. Tobias Harris added 18 points and 11 rebounds.

In addition to 21.1% from 3-point range, the Magic tallied an eFG% of just 40.2%. They are winless (0-2) on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Bobcats, conversely, are 4-2 when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.

Orlando (13-24) has now dropped their last three straight.

Coming up next, the Bobcats take on the Boston Celtics, who are 11-19 on the year. The Magic match up with the Denver Nuggets, currently 13-20 this season. The Bobcats have a 1-0 record against Boston this season.
