Jose Ramirez living up to ADP with 40-HR pace

Jose Ramirez continues to be the standard of consistency at the plate for the Cleveland Indians despite the team's offensive woes. It's looking like he was well-worth his first-round price tag.

DREW SILVA: It's shameful, really, that the Indians have failed to surround their excellent pitching staff with an even semi-respectable offense. But they do have Jose Ramirez. A first round pick in most standard fantasy drafts this spring, Ramirez has lived up to the hype so far in the regular season, with an OPS approaching .900, plus the power and speed that we've come to expect from him as a three-time top-three finisher in the American League MVP balloting. Ramirez had that one odd, two-month slump in the first half of the 2019 season, but even factoring those numbers in, he has averaged 36 home runs, 103 RBIs, 28 stolen bases, and 109 runs scored for every 162 games played since the beginning of 2017.

Right now at the tail end of May, he's on pace to put up 40-plus homers and 20-plus stolen bases this year. Now, he could be a trade candidate this summer given the way the Cleveland front office operates, but the team that is willing to meet the lofty asking price to acquire Ramirez would undoubtedly be a contender with a better supporting cast. So that might only improve his fantasy stock.
