Johnny Bench, Tyler Stephenson promote Cincinnati Reds' upcoming Funko Pop! giveaway
The Cincinnati Reds and former Reds great Johnny Bench tweeted video Monday of the National Baseball Hall of Famer joining current Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson in promoting the team's giveaway of a Bench Funko Pop! before this Saturday's Reds game against the Chicago White Sox at Great American Ball Park.
The video shows Bench apparently confused by the fact that the collectible doesn't bobble as a bobblehead would.
"It's not a bobblehead, it's Funko Pop!" Stephenson explains to Bench.
"Even better!" Bench replies.
The team's promotion schedule says the figures will be available "to fans in attendance, while supplies last."
The Bench Funko Pop! giveaway had been scheduled for last September but was postponed because of "unforeseen delays in international shipping."
Bench also retweeted this Monday:
Johnny Bench & Joe Torre will represent their 70 Hall of Fame teammates who served in the United States Armed Forces during times of conflict as the USS Cooperstown is commissioned Saturday in New York City, joining the active fleet that day.
