Joey Votto's latest late-night tweet offered a response to "folks" telling him "it's over" and he needs "to just hang'em up."
"You're hurting my feelings," Votto tweeted. "Be nice or I'll tell on you."
Votto attached a video of Taylor Swift singing, "Why you gotta be so mean?"
Earlier in the day, Votto told Dan Patrick he wants to play at least one more year, adding that his past two injury-plagued seasons are "not the taste I want to leave in my mouth."
