We knew longtime Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto aspires to drive a bus when his Major League Baseball playing career is over. He told MLB Network as much in a July 2018 interview.

But Votto still caught some of his Instagram followers off guard when he posted a photo behind the wheel of a bus, with the caption, "Heading down to Louisville for a few stops." It was accompanied by a clip of the soundbite from the 2018 interview.

The Enquirer's Charlie Goldsmith reported via Twitter that contrary to his Instagram post, Votto was working out Friday afternoon at GABP.

Hours after Votto's post, the Reds announced that Votto is set to rejoin the Triple-A Bats on a rehab assignment starting Saturday.

Goldsmith wrote earlier this week that Votto is still at least a few weeks away from returning to the Reds’ active roster but does "feel pressure to be back on the roster."

The Reds' starting lineup for Friday's series-opener against the Milwaukee Brewers doesn't include any players who weren't with the team for its series win in Boston. First pitch is set for 5:10 p.m. at Great American Ball Park.
