Joe Burrow went perfect in 7-on-7 period at Bengals training camp

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow sure doesn’t look like he’s missed a beat as he gets going at training camp this summer.

Surgically repaired knee or not, Burrow opened up training camp on fire from under center, even going perfect in a 7-on-7 period while working with targets like rookie Ja’Marr Chase, according to ESPN’s Ben Baby. It gave off shades of when he did similar as a rookie with some superb accuracy.

Center Trey Hopkins, for one, wasn’t too shocked, as noted by Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com:

“He attacks everything. He never lets you see him defeated. Every single thing I seen him do, the rehab, he attacks, the playbook, he attacks it, on the field, ultimate competitor. I saw him keep that up throughout this offseason. Whenever I saw him working never seen his head down. It’s always about what’s the next goal, what’s the next day.”

It all very much sounds like Burrow, who yesterday before putting on a show in practice, told reporters he’d like to see some preseason snaps so that he can feel an opponent’s pass-rush again before the season starts.

No word on if the Bengals will grant him that request, but we’ve got a feeling we’ll be seeing more perfect stretches of practice from him soon.
