Jessie Diggins at the 2022 Olympics: Everything to know about cross-country skier at Beijing Games

One of the surprise stars of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in 2018 was Jessie Diggins, who won a gold medal in women's cross-country skiing team sprint. It was the first time an American woman had ever medaled in cross-country skiing.

In the 2020-21 FIS Cross-Country World Cup season, Diggins win the overall and distance titles. Diggins also wrote a book published in 2020, Brave Enough, which details how she overcame bulimia as a teenager to become an Olympic champion.

According to Diggins, she was a "dancer, soccer player, violinist, swimmer and track runner as a high school athlete," before settling into cross-country skiing and hopes to become a repeat Olympic champion in Beijing.
