Jessica Patterson named interim athletic director for Addison

ADDISON — Jessica Patterson, who has experience as a varsity coach and teacher, started Friday as the interim athletic director at Addison Community Schools.

Patterson met with Addison coaches Friday and said the goal is to bring stability to the athletic program and begin the process of hiring a new football coach and staff.

Former Addison athletic director, football coach and principal Joshua Lindeman resigned during a board meeting in early December. His last day with the district was Friday. He accepted a teaching job at Napoleon schools.

Addison Supt. Dan Bauer said Patterson has a long history with the school district.

“She was clearly the best choice for the position,” Bauer said in a statement released Friday evening. “Her strong connections to Addison, coaching experience and strong leadership skills are an asset. We are excited to have her lead and serve the players and coaches of the Addison athletic programs.”

Addison offers 13 varsity, four junior varsity and nine middle school sports.

“My immediate goal is to provide stability and forward direction for our student athletes, coaches, and athletic programs,” Patterson said.
