Jerry Jeudy on Broncos QB Drew Lock: ‘He’s a guy that leads by example’

With no on-field organized team activities or minicamps this spring, Broncos second-year quarterback Drew Lock organized some unofficial practices in the Denver area. Lock demonstrated great leadership by getting his wide receiver, tight ends, running backs and offensive line together to run through plays.

“Drew Lock helped a lot during the offseason,” receiver Jerry Jeudy said after practice on Aug. 24. “We’ll step out and he’ll throw some routes to some of the guys. He’s a great leader. He’s a guy that leads by example.

“Not really talkative — he’ll talk when he needs to. When he talks, everybody listens. That’s the type of guy that you need on your team — that does everything by their actions.”

Lock seems to have earned the respect of his teammates, which is a great sign. After going 4-1 as a starter last season, Lock will aim to help the Broncos return to the playoffs for the first time since 2015 this year.
