Jeremiah McClellan commits to Ohio State, joins Jeremiah Smith, Mylan Graham in 2024 WR class

Even after securing commitments from Jeremiah Smith and Mylan Graham in the 2024 class, Brian Hartline was not finished building his wide receiver room.

The Ohio State offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach added another receiver to the Buckeyes' class Sunday as four-star St. Louis wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan announced his commitment to Ohio State, picking the Buckeyes over Missouri and Oregon

McClellan, standing at 6 feet, 190 pounds, is the No. 18 wide receiver and No. 108 player in the 2024 class according to 247Sports' composite rankings.

With McClellan, Hartline has secured commitments from 17 top-20 wide receivers since becoming Ohio State's wide receivers coach in 2018.

McClellan comes from Christian Brothers College in St. Louis, the same program that produced former Ohio State wide receiver Kamryn Babb.

According to 247Sports, McClellan brought in 41 receptions for 989 yards and nine touchdowns, finishing the 2022 season as a first-team All-State selection.

Each of Ohio State's wide receiver commits in the 2024 class — Smith (Florida), Graham (Indiana) and McClellan (Missouri) — are from outside of Ohio.

Overall, 12 of Ohio State's 20 commits in the 2024 class are from outside of Ohio, including cornerback Miles Lockhart, running back James Peoples (Texas), offensive lineman Ian Moore (Indiana), quarterback Air Noland (Georgia), defensive lineman Justin Scott (Illinois), running back Jordan Lyle (Florida), linebacker Payton Pierce (Texas), safety Jaylen McClain (New Jersey) and tight end Max LeBlanc (Tennessee).
