JC Latham, Tennessee Titans 1st-round NFL draft pick, signs rookie contract
Tennessee Titans first-round NFL draft pick JC Latham took the field for rookie minicamp for the first time Friday, and by afternoon's end he was officially under contract.
Latham signed his four-year deal, the team announced, locking in the player the team drafted to be the left tackle of the future through at least 2027. First-round contracts are structured so that teams also have fifth-year options they can pick up heading into the player's fourth year in the league; the Titans will be able to decide if they want to retain Latham for a fifth season in 2026. The slot value for Latham's draft selection is estimated to range between $25 million and $26 million annually.
The Titans selected Latham with the No. 7 pick in April's draft, making him the second offensive lineman selected. Despite Latham playing right tackle at Alabama, the Titans intend to use him at left tackle, making him the new blindside protector of second-year quarterback Will Levis.

In addition to Latham, four other Titans draft picks have signed contracts. Second-round defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat and fourth-round linebacker Cedric Gray remain unsigned.
