Jayton's Jace Chisum, Seminole's Wyatt Holmstrom voted A-J athletes of the week

Jacob Chisum put together a memorable showing in the Class 1A state cross country meet last week. The Jayton sophomore finished second to take the silver medal in a time of 11 minutes, 59.4 seconds. She received 38,711 votes (62.1%) to earn female athlete of the week.

Wyatt Holmstrom, Jr., Seminole

One of the top passers in the area did his thing in the regular-season finale. Seminole senior quarterback Wyatt Holmstrom threw for 414 yards and six touchdowns and added another 114 yards and a score against Perryton. He received 3,282 votes (89.5%) to earn male athlete of the week.
