Yesterday, it was widely reported after a (now deleted) tweet from Joe Tidei (@JoeyProspects), that former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler had agreed to a one year, $13 million contract with the Miami Dolphins. This report went unconfirmed, though other big sources did claim the deal was close and had legs.

Another report from sports podcaster Luke Rodgers (@thelukerodgers) early Saturday morning contradicted Joe’s. He claimed that Cutler had declined the offer from the Miami Dolphins.

However, sources familiar with the situation have told Cover32 that Jay Cutler has not made any formal decision yet. His broadcast representative Mark Block (@chuyblock) confirmed this claim on Twitter Saturday morning as well.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase confirmed to the media at Dolphins practice that he has spoken to Cutler, and that Cutler is interested. However, he did not say whether a deal was spoken about or agreed in principle.
