Javonte Williams says Broncos aim to make a Super Bowl run

Optimism is in the air in the Mile High City.

The Denver Broncos pulled off a surprising upset this past Sunday, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 24-9. Staying true to the NFL’s mantra of “Any Given Sunday,” the Broncos were powered by Russell Wilson’s three touchdowns and a stout defense that forced five turnovers against the Chiefs’ high-powered offense led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Coming off that win and now aiming for the moon, running back Javonte Williams says Broncos players now ant to make a Super Bowl run.

In a conference call with reporters on Monday, Williams said that he believes that if three phases of the game — offense, defense and special teams — do their job with fidelity, a Super Bowl run is within reach.

“If the defense do their job, the offense do their job, we got Marvin Mims back there on special teams, so, I feel like everybody’s doing their job,” Williams said, via Andrew Mason of DenverSports.com. “Yeah, I feel like the playoffs — that’s just the bare minimum, though. We trying to make a Super Bowl run.”
