Jaguars rule out Travon Walker, 2 others vs. Jets

The Jacksonville Jaguars are playing it safe with No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker, who’s recovering from a high ankle sprain.

While Walker was questionable last week against the Dallas Cowboys, the Jaguars ruled him out for a Thursday Night Football matchup against the New York Jets.

Cam Robinson is the least surprising designation on the list, as Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said earlier this week that the offensive tackle’s season may be over due to a meniscus injury.

Guard Brandon Scherff, safety Andrew Wingard, and linebacker Chad Muma were all questionable last week, but were active against the Cowboys. Earlier this week, Pederson said that Jawaan Taylor is “fine” and should be able to play against the Jets.

This post will be updated with New York’s injury report when it’s released. On Tuesday, Jets coach Robert Saleh ruled out quarterback Mike White due to a ribs injury and announced second-year quarterback Zach Wilson will start Thursday.
