Irondequoit tight end throws two TDs in wild win: Section V's top performances Friday

The seventh block of area high school football games continued Friday, under lights around Section V.

Here are the players who shined the brightest:

Isaiah Ballard, Irondequoit: Tight end turned Wildcat quarterback for a day threw two touchdown passes and ran for another touchdown during the team's 36-27 win at Webster Schroeder.

Derrion Battle, Aquinas: Gained 110 yards on 25 carries to help the team defeat Hilton 17-10.

Ashton Bezon, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba: Senior linebacker made nine tackles, two for loss, as the Aggies lost 33-14 to York/Pavilon.

Parker Bonefede, York/Pavilion: Completed 11 of 14 passes, two for touchdowns, for 161 yards overall during the team's 33-14 win over Oakfield-Alabama/Elba.

Ryan Brady, York/Pavilion: In on 16 tackles, Brennan Royce 14 and Tyler Brady 11 during a 33-14 win over Oakfield-Alabama/Elba.

Trent Buttles, Aquinas: A quarterback in his freshman year at Aquinas, he threw two touchdown passes, including the game-winner to Alexis Rosado for a 44-yard play with 38 seconds remaining in a 17-10 win over Hilton. Buttles was 8 for 13 for 153 yards passing.

Tavion Byrd, UPrep: Completed 16 of 25 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns during a 34-0 win over Penfield.

Miles Caviness, East Rochester/Gananda: Game-winning touchdown reception very late in the fourth quarter, his second touchdown catch in the game, and made 15 tackles during an 18-14 win over Hornell.

Steve Clinkscales, Irondequoit: Caught two passes, both for touchdowns, for 81 yards while the Eagles defeated Webster Schroeder 36-27.

Noah Collins-Howard, Aquinas: A freshman, he caught a 30-yard touchdown pass, made three tackles and intercepted a pass to clinch the team's 17-10 win over Hilton.

Tre Comella, Canandaigua: Ran for two touchdowns among 19 carries for 83 yards and had a 32-yard reception during a 34-7 win over Brockport.

Tommy Condidorio, LeRoy: Oaktan Knights quarterback threw two touchdown passes and ran for another touchdown during a 42-21 win over Livonia.

Collin Cox, Canisteo-Greenwood: Threw a touchdown pass as he completed 7 of 18 passes for 91 yards during a 34-0 win over Geneseo/Mount Morris.

Anthony DeRosa, Webster Schroeder: Caught a touchdown on four receptions for 22 yards, and rushed for 60 yards, during a 36-27 loss to Irondequoit.

Vijay Dhanda, Pembroke: Linebacker made nine tackles, nose guard Jayden Mast eight during an 8-man game won 71-21 by the Dragons over Wellsville.

Jon Distasio, Spencerport: Rushed 12 times for 88 yards and a touchdown during a 28-0 win over Eastridge. He also threw a touchdown to Jack Vickers, and collected seven tackles.

Brayden Dohse, East Rochester/Gananda: Caught a touchdown pass as he made four receptions overall and had 11 tackles during an 18-14 win for the Bombers over Hornell.

Jack Egeling, LeRoy: Made six tackles, Adrian Stephens five and DJ O'Green five, including two for a loss as the Oatkan Knights defeated Livonia 42-21.

Caleb Felski, Pembroke: A fullback in his junior year season, he returned the opening kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown and scored two more touchdowns as he finished with 126 yards on seven carries during an 8-man game against Wellsville, a 71-42 victory.

Cam Freeman, Irondequoit: Intercepted two passes, scored two rushing touchdowns among 13 carries for 55 yards and made 10 tackles to help the Eagles win 36-27 at Webster Schroeder.

Miron Gurman, Spencerport: Collected 11 tackles, three for losses, and a sack, during a 28-0 win over Eastridge.

Serah Hall, Irondequoit: Senior linebacker showed up again at the top of Eagles tacklers, this time with Cam Miller, who also had eight tackles during a 36-27 win over Webster Schroeder.

Drew Hilfiker, Webster Schroeder: The quarterback completed 28 of 43 passes for 243 yards and three touchdowns during a 36-27 loss to Irondequoit.

Gavin Horton, Webster Schroeder: Caught two touchdowns on six receptions for 58 yards during a 36-27 loss to Irondequoit. Justin Maier caught an interception on defense.

Ricardo Lagares, Churchville-Chili: Rushed 25 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns during a 21-14 win over Webster Thomas.

Noah Leitten, Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw: Scored one rushing touchdown and another one receiving during a 41-0 win over Bishop Kearney. Zach Brown scored a touchdown. Noah Brown rushed for 86 yards.

Lucas Leone, Aquinas: 2022 Democrat and Chronicle All-Greater Rochester Large Schools Football Team member made a team-high 10 tackles during a 17-10 win over Hilton.

Robert Lowry, Hilton: Threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Luke Lockhart and rushed for 147 yards on 27 carries during a 17-10 loss at Aquinas.

Amari Marianetti-Smith, Spencerport: Returned a fumble 80 yards for a touchdown, and added five tackles, during a 28-0 win over Eastridge.

Ayden Miller, Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw: Caught two interceptions during a 41-0 win over Bishop KearneyRochester Academy. Beau Slocum also picked off a pass.

Kamari Miller, UPrep: Led the defense with 9.5 tackles, including two hurries, during a 34-0 win over Penfield. Taivon Wilson had seven tackles and a pass deflection, and Jeffrey Allen had three tackles, one for a loss, one sack and two hurries.

Isaiah Moonschein, UPrep: Caught two receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown during a 34-0 win over Penfield. On defense he added 5.5 tackles, one for a loss, a sack, three hurries and a fumble recovery.

Ben Newman, East Rochester/Gananda: 300 yards passing with three touchdowns during an 18-14 win over Hornell.

Jordan Nolan, Irondequoit: Senior led a parade of Eagles ballcarriers with 95 rushing yards on 10 carries and Myles Wynn contributed 82 yards on 13 carries to a strong rushing attack by the Eagles, 36-27 winners over Webster Schroeder.

Tony Piazza, LeRoy: Gained 116 yards with a touchdown on 10 carries and Jude Sherman had 91 yards with a touchdown on 12 carries for the Oatkan Knights, 42-21 winners over Livonia.

Austin Pangrazio, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba: Senior quarterback scored a touchdown as he gained 155 yards on 29 carries and made three tackles behind the line of scrimmage during a 33-14 loss to York/Pavilion.

Brandon Pike, Hilton: Linebacker made 11 tackles at Aquinas during a 17-10 loss.

Jahyleen Quick, Spencerport: Rushed 24 times for 128 yards and a touchdown during a 28-0 win over Eastridge. He added 10 tackles on defense.

Chase Reinbold, Canisteo-Greenwood: Returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown during a 34-0 win over Geneseo/Mount Morris.

Jameson Ricigliano, Victor: Senior running back and junior running back Andrew Goodell each had a rushing touchdown as the Blue Devils defeated Gates Chili 41-21.

CJ Robinson, UPrep: Rushed 14 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns during a 34-0 win over Penfield.

Adam Ruffalo, Victor: Versatile senior receiver/defensive back forced and returned a fumble 63 yards for a touchdown and Dre Yeomas blocked a punt and returned the ball 34 yards for a touchdown during a 41-21 win over Gates Chili.

Juelz Russell, UPrep: Caught six passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns on offense, and returned an interception 35 yards for a touchdown on defense, during a 34-0 win over Penfield.

Bailey Schell, Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw: Scored a rushing touchdown during a 41-0 win over Bishop Kearney. Zach Brown also scored a rushing touchdown. Noah Brown rushed 12 times for 86 yards.

Blake Siewert, Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw: Recorded a sack during a 41-0 win over Bishop Kearney. Jordan Brown record a sack and Dawson Shelley made five tackles.

Tyrell Simmons, UPrep: Caught seven passes for 132 yards during a 34-0 win over Penfield. Four of his 6.5 tackles went for losses while added two sacks and seven hurries on defense.

Caden Sumeriski, Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw: Rushed four times for 98 yards and a 40-yard touchdown on offense, and defensively returned an interception 50 yards for another touchdown, during a 41-0 win over Bishop Kearney/Rochester Academy.

Carl Szczech, York/Pavilion: Scored two touchdowns as he carried 23 times for 139 yards during a 33-14 win over Oakfield-Alabama/Elba.

Jacob Szczepanski, Churchville-Chili: Rushed for a touchdown during a 21-14 win over Webster Thomas. Eli Burnley caught an interception.

Bryce Tallman, Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw: Threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Noah Leitten during a 41-0 win over Bishop Kearney/Rochester Academy. Tallman also made 2 PATs.

Tyson Totten, Pembroke: Scored four touchdowns for the Dragons as he rushed for 345 yards in an 8-man game against Wellsville, a 71-42 victory.

Jackson Trubia, Livonia: Threw 30- and 23-yard touchdowns passes to Owen Wetterings during a 42-21 loss to LeRoy. Wetterings also made 12 tackles.

Tyler Washington, Webster Schroeder: Caught 11 passes for 117 yards during a 36-27 loss to Irondequoit. Aydin Stephens caught a touchdown on three receptions for 15 yards.

Avery Waterson, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba: Gained 136 yards with a touchdown on 14 carries and made six tackles, three for losses during a 33-14 loss to York/Pavilion.

Drew Williamee, Canandaigua: Threw two touchdown passes to Dominic Gullace and another to Sean Olvany as he completed 9 of 13 attempts for 186 yards during a 34-7 win over Brockport.

Beau Zeh, Canisteo-Greenwood: Scored two touchdowns as he rushed for 91 yards on 15 carries and intercepted a pass as a defender during a 34-0 victory over Geneseo/Mount Morris.
