Iowa State football starts Texas game with a wild fumble recovery off a Bijan Robinson run

Iowa State and Texas have had their fair share of close battles in recent years, including some controversial calls involving fumble.

Saturday's game between the two Big 12 foes started off with yet another wild play.

After Texas received the opening kick, Longhorns' all-American running back Bijan Robinson broke a run to the left side for what appeared to be a first down. With the scrum still moving forward, the referees let the play continue. What ensued was nothing short of chaotic.

Iowa State's Isheem Young came out of the pile with the ball. The initial call was that Young returned the fumble within the Texas 5-yard line, but after review, the officials determined Young was down when he scooped up the loose ball.
