Introducing the Naples Daily News 2023 Boys All-Area Golf Team

At the end of each season, the Naples Daily News selects All-Area teams honoring the best athletes for every sport. Coaches from area schools are sent nomination forms and are asked to nominate and rate their athletes as well as those from other teams. That data combined with the Naples Daily News' research led to the selection of the All-Area teams.

FIRST TEAM

Graham Boone

School: Barron Collier

Year: Senior

Highlights: Boone finished second at the CCAC and District 2A-14 tournaments. He also tied for 14^th place at regionals and tied for third place, one shot back of the leaders, at the Class 3A state tournament.

Jake Debroux

School: Naples

Year: Senior

Highlights: Debroux won the CCAC tournament by two strokes and captured the District 2A-14 tournament by one. He also tied for 30^th place at regionals and tied for 18^th at the Class 2A state tournament.

Spencer Ives

School: Community School of Naples

Year: Sophomore

Highlights: Ives finished second at the Private 8 tournament and won the District 1A-12 individual title by five strokes. He also tied for 24^th place at regionals and tied for 34^th at the Class 1A state tournament.

Braden Miller

School: Barron Collier

Year: Junior

Highlights: Miller placed fourth at the CCAC tournament and tied for 10^th place at the District 2A-14 tournament. He also tied for third place at regionals and tied for 49^th at the Class 2A state tournament.

Ryan Miller

School: Gulf Coast

Year: Senior

Highlights: Miller tied for sixth place at the District 2A-14 tournament. He also tied for ninth at regionals and tied for 18^th place at the Class 2A state tournament.

Connor Shea

School: St. John Neumann

Year: Senior

Highlights: Shea tied for third place at the Private 8 tournament and finished as the individual runner-up in District 1A-12. He also tied for fourth at regionals and tied for 34^th place at the Class 1A state tournament.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Jason Miller

School: Barron Collier

Highlights: Miller guided the Cougars to the CCAC championship. The team also finished second at the District 2A-14 tournament and was the Region 2A-4 runner-up, punching Barron Collier’s first ticket to the state tournament since 2016. There, the Cougars finished in eighth place.
