Indiana women's basketball announces full 2023-24 schedule
BLOOMINGTON — Indiana women's basketball announced its full 2023-24 schedule on Thursday.
The Hoosiers had previously only announce a small portion of their non-conference schedule including the season-opener against Northwood (Nov. 1), a visit to Stanford (Nov. 12), games against Tennessee (Nov. 23) and Princeton (Nov. 25) as part of the Fort Myers Tip-Off and a trip to play Maine (Nov. 30.).
Some of the additions to the non-conference schedule include a Murray State (Nov. 17) team that went 15-16 last year and made it to the second-round of the MVC tourney and a Bowling Green (Dec. 22) team that finished 31-7 and reached the WNIT semifinals.
"Our schedule is incredibly difficult, but that's how we want it," Indiana women's head coach Teri Moren said, on Thursday at the program's second annual media days.
Indiana's opener in the Big Ten is on the road at Rutgers on Dec. 9 and their home opener in conference play is against Illinois on New Year's Eve.
The Hoosiers went 28-4 last year and won the Big Ten regular season title with a 16-2 conference record. They earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament for the first time in the history of the program, but lost 70-68 to No. 9 Miami in the second round.
