I'm Brandon Nicholson: This is why I signed with Stanford football

The Commercial Appeal asked Memphis University School senior to say in his own words why he chose Stanford.

Here is what Nicholson wrote to The Commercial Appeal:

The main reason I chose Stanford was because it was an opportunity that I couldn't pass up. There is not another university in the world that offers the best education in the world as well as one of the most successful athletic programs year in and year out.

Overall, their focus on the student-athlete perfectly aligns with my experience as a student at MUS making it a great fit for me. The amazing campus and beautiful weather in Palo Alto had a positive impact on my decision as well.

Within the football program, the new staff and recruits entering alongside me look to make an impact sooner than later to return Stanford football to its prior dominance. Coach (Troy) Taylor and his staff emphasized the establishment of a culture based on love and hard work, and I am confident that their strong foundation will attract players and lead our team to success.

Stanford is a perfect fit for me, and I plan to take advantage of this amazing opportunity, academically and athletically.
