IHSA track and field records: The all-time best performances around Peoria

The Peoria area has a long history of running excellence, which trickles down to the high school level.

Below are the area's top high school performances in each event still part of the Illinois High School Association state finals each season, separated by event with boys and girls times for each.

Each entry includes performance, name, year in school at time of performance and the year set. Times in 100ths are fully automatic. To figure the equivalent hand-held time, subtract .24, then round up to the nearest 10th.

The list includes records starting in 1973 to one set in 2023. This list was last updated after the 2023 season.
