Houston Texans working to have fans at NRG Stadium for Week 4 versus the Minnesota Vikings
The Houston Texans won’t have fans when they take on the Baltimore Ravens at NRG Stadium this Sunday, but they may have their home faithful the next time they take on an opponent in purple.
According to the Texans’ official Twitter page, the club is working on a plan to have up to 15,000 at their Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
“We are working with city and county officials to gain approval to host up to 15,000 fans at NRG Stadium beginning with our home game versus the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, October 4,” the statement read. “We have implemented all of the rigorous protocols required by the National Football League to ensure the health and safety of our fans, our staff and our team. We look forward to welcoming our home-field advantage back to NRG Stadium and resuming our beloved Texans gameday traditions very soon. We live in the most diverse community in America and nothing brings us together like Houston Texans football.”

The Kansas City Chiefs had fans at Arrowhead Stadium, and the Jacksonville Jaguars did as well at TIAA Bank Field. The Dallas Cowboys are also going to have limited fans at AT&T Stadium Sunday in Arlington.
