HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Odessa High takes third in Fort Stockton tournament
Aug. 29—FORT STOCKTON — The Odessa High volleyball team had a strong showing at this weekend's tournament in Fort Stockton.
The Lady Bronchos ended up taking third place at the tournament, going 4-1 at the two-day tournament.
Odessa High defeated El Paso Socorro in two sets, 25-9 and 25-16 in their first game before following it up with a sweep over Alpine, 25-13, 25-9.
The Lady Bronchos closed out the first day with another sweep, this time over Kermit, winning 25-5, 25-14.
Odessa High's only loss of the tournament came in Day 2 with a sweep by Fort Stockton, falling by scores of 25-21 in both sets.
The Lady Bronchos closed out the tournament with a victory over Midland Trinity, winning in three sets, 22-25, 25-21, 25-17.
