Here's how to watch Iowa, Iowa State and Northern Iowa wrestling at Soldier Salute this weekend
Each of the Division I college wrestling programs in the state of Iowa will be making the trip to Coralville for the Soldier Salute this week.
The Iowa men will be bringing the most competitors out of any team, with 27 wrestlers coming to Xtream Arena for the bouts on Friday and Saturday. The Iowa women will have 16, the Iowa State men will have 12 and Northern Iowa will be bringing 14 wrestlers.
In addition, both Anthony (149 pounds) and AJ Ferrari (197 pounds) will be competing unattached at the Soldier Salute. Anthony committed to the Hawkeyes in Match of this year, but has yet to join the roster. AJ recently took an official visit with Iowa, but has not made a choice to restart his college career after both him and Anthony battled legal troubles.
"I think the quality of competition is going to continue to get better in this thing as it gets older, so that's definitely a benefit," Iowa men's wrestling coach Tom Brands said. "You look for good competition. The other thing is it's in your own backyard, it's not just any old backyard. This is Iowa City, Iowa. This is Coralville. This is the University of Iowa. This is Wrestletown, USA."
Here's how you can follow along with the action.
