One team from the Texas Panhandle advanced to the state tournament in Garland.

The Bushland volleyball team punched its ticket to the Final Four for the third straight season and will start its journey at 1 p.m. when the Falcons (33-5) face off against Columbus (38-8) in the state semifinals at the Curtis Culwell Center.

The other semifinal is between Gunter (36-7) and Lorena (38-4).

Columbus is the only remaining team in the bracket that the Lady Falcons have not gone head-to-head against this season. Bushland defeated Gunter and lost to Lorena at an early-season tournament back in late August.

The state championship will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday.
