H.S. Roundup: Lancaster wrestlers place second at sectional

UPPER ARLINGTON – Lancaster came up just short of winning the Division I sectional at Upper Arlington and was edged out by the Golden Bears by just 2.5 points.

Upper Arlington finished with 231.5 points and was followed by Lancaster (229), Central Crossing (156.5), Big Walnut (155), Thomas Worthington (142.5), Olentangy Orange (119), Chillicothe (94), Pickerington North (81), Reynoldsburg (63), Westland (60), Westerville Central (56) and Whitehall (45).

The Golden Gales had three first-place winners. Seniors Aiden Agin (126) and Ajay Locke (190) and sophomore Cole Dickerson (215) won individual sectional titles.

Second-place finishes for the Gales included Toby Hutsler (113), Jacob Gibson (120), Brody Chase (144) and Tim Lewellen (285).

Jace Edmunds (132) placed third, Kody Hoffman (175) was fourth and placing fifth for Lancaster was Colton Hullinger (138), Tyler Weilbacher (157) and Bryce Chase (165).

The Gales will compete in the Division I District tournament at Hilliard Darby on Saturday.
