Guardians invite pitcher Enyel De Los Santos to camp

The Guardians on Wednesday signed right-handed pitcher Enyel De Los Santos to a minor league deal that includes an invitation to major league camp.

De Los Santos, 25, spent with 2021 season with the Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates, posting a 6.37 ERA in 33 appearances with a 12.2 K/9 rate. De Los Santos has a career 6.06 ERA in three MLB seasons.

De Los Santos participated in the 2018 Futures Game and later earned postseason Triple-A honors, given out by Baseball America. He'll provide low-risk pitching depth in camp as the Guardians shape their 2022 roster this spring.

The Guardians on Tuesday tendered contracts to seven players, though none have yet signed deals for the 2022 season. Their 40-man roster is full.
