Grizzlies live score updates vs. Pelicans: Zion Williams active for New Orleans

The newly minted owners of the NBA's longest active losing streak will look to undo that Monday night.

The Grizzlies lost their eighth straight game Saturday night in Charlotte, which ended its own skid at 10. That left Memphis with the longest active losing streak in the NBA heading into Monday's meeting with the Pelicans at FedExForum.

New Orleans (31-22) has won five of its past six games. The Grizzlies (18-35) lost to the Pelicans at home to open the season but then beat them twice in New Orleans. Both of those wins were spurred by dynamic Ja Morant performances; Morant is out for the season after having shoulder surgery.

Zion Williamson, who has a foot injury, is listed as questionable to play. The Grizzlies have a clean injury report, at least by recent standards. Derrick Rose and Ziaire Williams are doubtful, while only five players are listed as out for a team that has been without as many as 13 injured players in recent games.

Yuta Watanabe and Lamar Stevens, both recently acquired in trades ahead of the NBA trade deadline, also will be available.

Grizzlies live score updates vs. Pelicans

Memphis gets within single digits

The Grizzlies continued the push in the fourth quarter, and it's now 88-81 Pelicans with 6:34 to play. The crowd, which had lost interest in the third quarter, has been dialed in during this quarter.

Grizzlies fight back

Memphis got back into the game with a run at the end of the third quarter, cutting the lead to 13 heading into the final frame. Stevens is up to 10 points, while Luke Kennard has 12. The Grizzlies have had to work through unorthodox lineups, but they found something that worked in the third quarter.

Pelicans go up by 25

Taylor Jenkins called another timeout and now only has two remaining, but this game looks like it's over. The energy has zapped from FedExForum, and the Pelicans are in full control.

Halftime: Pelicans 61, Grizzlies 47

The Grizzlies have been able to keep Zion Williamson (nine points on 2-of-7 shooting) in check, but Brandon Ingram, Herb Jones and Jose Alvarado all have 10 points. Memphis is shooting just 38.6 percent from the field and trails by double-digits at the half.

New Orleans opens up double-digit lead

The Pelicans quickly went ahead by 11 points, forcing a Grizzlies timeout. Jose Alvarado has been a catalyst for the Pelicans' success, and he's up to a team-high 10 points in only eight minutes.

Lamar Stevens starts fast

Stevens made his Grizzlies debut after being acquired in a trade last week. He promptly made his first two shots and has helped keep the Grizzlies within striking distance in the second quarter.

Pelicans lead at the end of the first quarter

The Grizzlies had an early lead, but the Pelicans fought back to take a 31-26 lead into the second quarter. New Orleans did it with 3-point shooting, going 7-of-11 from downtown while the Grizzlies shot 5-of-13. Jaren Jackson Jr. has a game-high 10 points.
