Grizzlies live score updates vs. Bulls: Memphis continues 4-game road trip in Chicago

The Memphis Grizzlies' four-game road trip continues Saturday in Chicago.

The Grizzlies will take on the Bulls as the second leg of the trip that started with Thursday's loss to the Timberwolves. Memphis will still be without seven injured players as it takes on the Bulls.

Though the Grizzlies have been severely shorthanded in the past few games without Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart and others, they've still given a good account of themselves against teams with more star power.

Before Thursday's loss, the Grizzlies (15-26) beat the Golden State Warriors at home on MLK Day. They've gotten key contributions from Vince Williams Jr. and GG Jackson, who figure to play significant roles Saturday night.

The Bulls (20-23) have been on a good run and have won five of their past seven games.

Final: Bulls 125, Grizzlies 96

The Bulls pulled away down the stretch and handed the Grizzlies their second-straight loss on the road trip. Memphis couldn't get much going down the stretch, but Scotty Pippen Jr. did make his Grizzlies debut after being signed as a two-way player earlier this week.

End of third quarter: Bulls 86, Grizzlies 69

It was a good start to the quarter for the Grizzlies, who went on a 15-3 run to take back the lead. But that was when the Bulls woke back up and asserted themselves, consistently getting open looks at the rim and hitting open shots. The Grizzlies' offense dried up, and Memphis struggled throughout the rest of the quarter. Now the Grizzlies are up against it as they enter the final frame.

End of second quarter: Bulls 50, Grizzlies 40

There was a little more scoring in the second quarter, but both teams had real problems generating offense. Jaren Jackson Jr. and DeMar DeRozan are the only players in double figures scoring at the half, and both teams have been turning the ball over throughout the half. It's there for the taking for whichever team can take care of the ball and get good looks on offense.

End of first quarter: Bulls 21, Grizzlies 17

The Grizzlies only attempted three pointers for the first five minutes of the game and had an early lead, but offense has been hard to come by on both sides. The Bulls have struggled with turnovers, while the Grizzlies are having trouble matching up with Chicago's size. Xavier Tillman Sr. is out, so the Grizzlies don't have much frontcourt depth when Jaren Jackson Jr. is on the bench.

Jackson has six points to lead Memphis.
