Greg Sankey announces Dallas will host 2024 SEC Media Days as Texas, Oklahoma join league

NASHVILLE — SEC Media Days head to Dallas on July 15-18 in 2024, commissioner Greg Sankey announced Monday.

"The SEC will light up the Dallas skyline with the colors of the Southeastern conference," Sankey said

Sankey made the announcement on the first day of 2023 SEC Media Days, which runs through Thursday at Nashville's Grand Hyatt hotel.

The Dallas location, at the Omni Hotel, aligns with Oklahoma and Texas joining the conference in 2024. It will be the first SEC Media Days with the new membership from the Sooners and Longhorns.

SEC Media Days have traditionally been held in Birmingham, Alabama (2001-2017, 2021). In 2018 and 2022, the media days venue was at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. This will be the first SEC Media Day in Texas.

The SEC is home to the last four national championships in football. Georgia is the reigning back-to-back champion. Alabama took the title in 2020 and LSU won in 2019.
