‘Green Bay is on the clock’: The 2025 NFL draft will be in Wisconsin

GREEN BAY − The 2024 NFL draft in Detroit is over, meaning attention now turns to Green Bay. Well, with an entire season in between, technically. The pro-sports hamlet will host the event starting Thursday, April 24, 2025.

"I didn't really see the process in Detroit, so whether it's in Detroit, New York, wherever it is, it's pretty much the same for us," Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Saturday after completing the draft.

After the NFL draft picks wrapped up Saturday night, a crowd stayed to watch Michigan native Bazzi take the stage.

"I do think there are some challenges that we're going to have to deal with next year. Just seeing the amount of people − what did they say, over 700,000 attended the draft? − I can't imagine that many people in Green Bay, so it's going to be interesting. But it's going to be exciting. It's going to be exciting for the community; obviously it's going to bring a lot of money into the community, which a lot of these businesses will benefit from.

"And what better place to have it? In my eyes, this is the mecca."
